 Visual Web Ripper is a good product. It brought web scraping to people that don\'t know php or any other programming languages. it does logins fills forms in.Its all point and click. There is a learning curve but once u get the hang of it your good. I use it for everything. I rate this 5 out of 5 stars it was definitely worth the investment..
I’ve been trying to extract data from this news website with a few different web extraction tools, but apparently the website has an unusual content layout (unstructured), and the tools just didn’t work. It’s working perfectly now with Visual Web Ripper, but it was a bit tricky, and I had to get the guys from Sequentum to create the web extraction project. They did it for free, so I was quite happy with that.

 Good product. It may be a good product, I have solved my problem with firefox imacros. I want crawl sites wich couldn't be crawled with default crawler, because the links has session value and not supported submit of forms.

It looks interesting. I am starting through the tutorials today.
 Good program, complicated to use This is a good program although it is quite complicated to use, you need some knowledge on HTML, Java-script/Java/VBscript and persaverance with learning the program, I dont think it is a solution for scraping sites with a search function as the site may have a function designed to stop this kind of activity. All in all good for free, also it ran very slow after collecting only a small amount of data, although my computer is a bit dated (2.4gb Celeron OC'ed to 2.6gb with 1gb of RAM etc.).

Review of Screen-Scraper basic An excellent product, which does exactly what it says and exactly what I wanted.It would be helpful to have additional information and guidance about the use of Character sets option, as I spent ages wondering why my extracted information included unknown characters. A forum entry pointed me in the right direction but also indicated that different character sets were not available on the basic edition - but they are. But now I know, it's OK!I'm only just getting to grips with the functionality, but I can see huge potential and will probably upgrade to a "paid for" edition ...
